POSITION SUMMARY:

Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate programs,
outings and events that meet the residents’ physical, social, emotional, cognitive, spiritual and
cultural needs.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

Reports to the Recreation Therapy Manager

BASIC QUALITIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE:

Has a post secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation,
kinesiology or other related field from a community college or university

Experience working with seniors

Experience planning, implementing and evaluating programs

Computer literate

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organization skills

Second Language ( Chinese, Portuguese, Italian, and Eastern European languages are an asset )

CPR and First Aid qualifications

• Must be available to work occasional weekend and evening shifts.

You must also provide documentation that supports the application for the Vulnerable Sector
Screening check. This can be in the form of a letter or a receipt from your local Police division.
