B-Pressure Welder (Current Employee) – Rocky Mountain House, AB – 30 April 2017
A typical day would usually be close to home, get told a location, make sure correct rod for the job is loaded, tailgate meeting then make sure all permits are in place. Weather is always a factor. Working with a good crew makes a big difference to getting the job done.
Period 1 AST Apprentice (Current Employee) – Calgary, AB – 12 July 2017
The University was a great place to start my apprenticeship, I enjoyed it. A typical day was hard but engaging, and I learned about electrical, oil changes, and other amazing things in the automotive trade.
part cleaner, assembler (Former Employee) – Welland, ON – 23 April 2016
was a friendly work area, the work was not hard to do as long as you pay attention to the paperwork for the jobs. I learned how to use band saws and drill presses safely. The management was good, as long as your doing your work. Most co-workers were friendly, and hard workers. My work was not to hard for me to do, my supervisor and lead hand explained things well for me to understand, and if i had any questions or needed help with anything they were very helpful. the most enjoyable part of working here was the co-workers, they were all very nice and helpful and fun to be around at work.
gets really hot or really cold in the shop, depending on the season
