HELP DESK AND INTERNAL TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST

The 40+ staff at the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board serves more than 2,900 professional real estate members who live and work in the communities of North Delta, Surrey, White Rock, Langley, Abbotsford, and Mission. Our small but dynamic I.T. department develops and maintains our internal technical infrastructure along with leading-edge member service systems and applications. You will be responsible for:

Help Desk Support:

  • Provide technical support to members via email, phone, in person, live-chat and other electronic medium
  • Troubleshoot and resolve computer system, laptop, software, internet and application issues
  • Redirect problems to appropriate resource

Internal Tech Support:

  • Network Support – assisting with upgrades, and troubleshooting, installing and supporting required hardware, software, peripherals, settings, directories, and storage
  • User Support - Assisting staff with personal computer, Windows systems, email and peripherals
  • Audio-visual - maintaining and supporting staff in the set-up and use of equipment
  • MLS Photo processing and troubleshooting

You have:

  • A Computer Science/IT Diploma and at least one year of directly related experience (or an equivalent combination - e.g. Degree, or Certificate plus 2 years experience…)
  • Proficiency with: Microsoft Windows and other Microsoft programs
  • Basic knowledge of networking and database
  • Knowledge of mobile devices – a knowledge of MAC-based products is an asset
  • Strong Customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A demonstrated ability to multi-task and resolve problems
