HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR
One-year contract, Québec, QC
FPInnovations is among the world’s largest private, non-profit research centres working in forest research. The organization helps the Canadian forest industry to develop path breaking solutions based on the unique attributes of Canada’s forest resources, favouring a sustainable development approach and taking full advantage of the industry’s considerable scientific, technological and commercial capital.
We are looking for a human resources coordinator to fill a full-time position, for one year.
Under the supervision of the human resources coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating labour relations between employees and management by assisting in the ongoing administration of the HR program and services to employees and management personnel (e.g. recruitment, training and development, policies and procedures, communications, occupational health and safety processes). The human resources coordinator is also responsible for compiling and delivering payroll information, such as overtime, vacation time, change in status, etc.
- Ensure the follow-up, compilation and delivery of payroll information;
-Enter employee-related information using the HR software;
-Assist the HR team in various administrative tasks such as updating tables, compiling and analyzing various data, preparing bilingual news releases, etc.;
-Assist in the organization’s internal and external recruitment activities;
-Take part in the orientation and integration of new employees;
-Make the necessary changes to employee files (status, salary, department, termination etc.) and file documents;
-Coordinate training activities;
-Assist in occupational health and safety activities;
-Ensure the administration of the collective insurance plan and pension plan;
-Perform other related tasks.
-Bachelor’s degree in industrial relations or human resources management, or the equivalent, or a CEGEP or college studies diploma in administration, human resources profile with experience;
-1 to 3 years of relevant experience at a similar job;
-Good knowledge of labour legislation and employee benefits;
-Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook computer tools;
-Good communication and customer service skills;
-Initiative, autonomy, discretion and good organizational skills.
