We are a high growth information technology company engaged in selling our web marketing and software services in Calgary. We are looking to add a sales professional to our team. Reporting to the Sales Manager, responsibilities will include opening new accounts in a target market as well as account management. It is a base plus commission position with no commission cap. In addition to your compensation, you will also learn valuable Sales 2.0 and Marketing 2.0 skills. Advancement to sales/marketing management is available for qualified candidates.
The account executive is responsible for all sales activities in an assigned territory. Develops and implements an agreed upon sales plan which will contain both personal and business goals to expand our customer base. Works with the sales, support and delivery teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue and long-term goals of the company.
Responsible for the sales of professional online marketing services and marketing automation software
Can demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge
Develops annual business plan in conjunction with Sales Manager, which details activities to follow which will focus the Account Executive on meeting or exceeding sales quota
Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with executives and decision makers
Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to address their business issues
Creates and conducts effective proposal presentations and responses that identify prospects’ business problem and our solutions to their problems, in person and over the web and phone
Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals
Demonstrates the ability to gather and submit detailed business information for both pricing and presentation of solutions to address identified prospects' business problems
Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory, including the use of Salesforce.com to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential.
Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
1-3+ years of sales experience in business to business environments
Proficiency with web-based tools such as WebEx, Jigsaw, Google docs, LinkedIn is an asset
Experience with business software and/or services solutions and to medium sized and small business organizations
Selling to companies that supply and service the oil and gas industry is an asset
Previous sales training is an asset
University or college degree preferred
Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets.
