As a Journeyman in Electrical, Plumbing, Pipefitting or a Mechanical trade or having relevant experience the Project Site Manager will direct the daily on-site activities of a major project and liaison with the Calgary Project Manager, the Stony Plain Construction group and Client representatives. Primary roles are to oversee and execute the project to the planned budget and schedule, conduct three week look ahead’s and provide oversight for all Contractors working for the company on the site.

Role & Responsibilities
Ability to read and interpret instructions and documentation and identify material and resource requirements to plan work activities prior to work starting
Studies building plans and inspects structure to determine required materials and equipment and sequence of pipe installations
Ability to read blueprints and red line drawings and provide as-built mark-up drawings for the design engineer
Quality of work is to meet or exceed industry standard
Ability to complete assigned work on or under budget and schedule
Manage field receipts and expenses for projects/jobs and submit in a timely manner
Ensure all customer documentation is accurate, complete and signed off
Reviews daily Time Sheets, LEM’s, and/or Service Tickets for completeness
Insures daily toolbox meetings are being held
Ensure all employees are working safely and producing quality product
Ensure health and safety guidelines are being met and up to date
Report incidents/accidents with complete paperwork
Ensure employees are informed of all meetings and attend accordingly
Report any problems regarding workload/manpower to the Supervisor
Report missing, late, sick or injured employees to the Supervisor
In conjunction with HR and the Supervisor, conduct disciplinary action as required (i.e. verbal & written warnings)
Provide direction to different disciplines
Communicate with fellow Superintendents within the shop or work site
Work within a tight schedule to allow for minimal overtime and meet construction or production deadlines
Participate in job site final walk through
Assist the Construction Manager in the coordination of on-site activities and monitoring of progress
Provide input relating to the resolution of any design or installation issues
Troubleshoot problems that occur with the job
Meet with contractors, building managers or clients to report any concerns or progress as requested
Coordinates the movement of materials and equipment to work locations
Demonstrates a strong customer focus and service and maintains strong client relationships
Performs other duties and activities as directed
High School Diploma
Journeyman Ticket and Red Seal Inter-Provincial Ticket an asset or relevant experience
5 or more years of experience in oilfield service, plumbing, pipefitting, electrical or mechanical experience is considered an asset
Must possess an active and valid Class 5 driver’s license, accompanied with a drivers abstract
Up to date H2S, First Aid, Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, Forklift training and GLG training a definite asset
2 years previous Foreman or Supervisory experience
Supervisory or Management Training required
