You will be responsible for:
Calculating accurate salary adjustments and garnishments.
Processing and calculating status changes including new hires and terminations.
Ensuring compliance with the payroll process, company policy, and legislative requirements.
Working proactively to identify process inefficiencies, recommend and implement process improvements.
Ensuring that complete employee payroll files is maintained and complies with privacy policies.
Understanding customer requirements and provides quality customer service in a timely and accurate manner, matching expectations and capabilities.
Assisting with other duties as required.
Minimum of one (1) year of payroll experience for a mid to large organization with multi-jurisdictions
ADP Canada Co payroll experience is an asset
Knowledge of payroll legislation and employment standards
Strong computer skills with a proficiency in the MS Office Suite
Strong math skills, attention to detail and exceptional accuracy with calculations
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey information accurately, clearly and simply in a manner easily understood with employees and external contacts at all levels
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well within a team, while requiring minimal guidance
Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Strong analytical, time management and organization skills.
