Expeditorsplus, Inc. Camp Services is currently seeking a trained individual to work in the position as Camp Attendant/Housekeeper. Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, the successful candidate is responsible for ensuring the living area of the camp is clean and sanitary. They will consistently provide positive service and assistance with all camp employees and guests while making sure to follow all policies and guidelines as set out by Health and Safety Guidelines.
Technical/Operational: Keep the living area of the camp in a clean and sanitary manner – i.e. cleaning all sleeping quarters, hallways, washrooms, entrance ways and utility room; Vacuum and sweep daily; Wash the kitchen and dining room floors; Dispose of garbage after every meal, wash and sanitize garbage cans weekly; Empty garbage cans in all rooms daily; Wash all towels, aprons, etc. as required in the a.m. or early p.m. to leave machines free for the crews to do their laundry; Make beds daily and change linen weekly or as required; Keep an accurate record of bedding; Assist with unloading, loading and putting away of supplies; Keep sidewalks and walkways clean of debris, snow and ice; Assist in washing kitchen ceiling, walls, windows and kitchen exhaust fans; Assist in cleaning in the kitchen; Clean the inside of windows and wash down the outside windows of the camps as required; Order camp supplies regularly to ensure an adequate supply is on hand. Ensure that all equipment is left in and stored properly.
Adhere to the specific tasks with the camp’s weekly Fire Drills.
Follow all guidelines as set out by the HACCP (Hazard Analysis – Critical Control Points) way.
Ensure Expeditorsplus uniforms are worn at all times while in camp.
Camp Attendant’s duties are not limited to the job description as each client may have different requirements.
Qualifications, Key Attributes & Competencies
- WHMIS and First Aid Certification
- Valid Drivers License
- Prior experience in a remote environment
- Demonstrate a positive ‘can-do’ attitude with all employees and camp guests;
- Excellent attention to detail and well developed organizational skills;
- Strong work ethic with an ability to work independently and in a team environment;
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities and adapt to change quickly;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to maintain effective relationships;
- Flexible and motivated and able to work in a fast paced, demanding environment and respond to change quickly
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Salary - D.O.Q.
Other Information – Work 12 hr./days for 28 days straight then 14 days off. Wage includes Overtime and 4% Vacation Pay. Paid transportation. Meals, Laundry, Internet, Satellite TV, Private Room. Work Setting – Remote Camp, Rural Community.
Anticipated Start Date – Immediate or end of December 2013
