DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee owner operator/driver orientation program. Develop and update procedure and requirement manuals Ensure compliance with the processes and procedures by conducting periodic audits Ensure the licensing and maintenance of the fleet of vehicles is up-to date Communicate with internal and external parties regarding safety and insurance issues Investigate and analyze accident data Responsible for the administration of safety programs such as the transportation of Dangerous Goods, etc. Recruiting/Hiring & road testing of local and Highway drivers and brokers Auditing and tracking of log sheets and pre trip inspections to ensure compliance Investigations of damages and incidents and required documentation Monitoring compliance on a day to day basis Being available after hours for urgent problems, incidents, accidents.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a valid Ontario A license with an air brake endorsement in good standing Demonstrated knowledge of safety legislation and procedure required 1 - 2 years previous related recruitment experience Previous education or experience in logistics and/or transportation preferred Excellent computer skills including Excel and Word required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Salary $45,000 - $50,000
