Database Administrator (Current Employee), MilanMarch 11, 2014
Pros: flexible working hours
Cons: slow management decisions
Ericsson is a tipical big company with a lot of people working inside the company. My job consists in technical supervision and databases creation/configuration. Ericsson management sometime is a bit slow to take decision because of bureaucratic issues. My colegues are fine and we work in team in the right way helping each other. The Hardest part of – more... the work is when activities are blocked due to bureaucratic issues or bad planned activities in terms of time and resources. I improved my attitude to work in team as part of the team and also as team leader. The best type of activity in here is when I can follow a new project from the very beginning. – less

I had learns too many thing from my previous job. The most important thing which I want share is, how to survive and stand out in mutational personalities. As they all are working on same place in a big organization. Where you spent your most of the time. They have different culture, languages, techniques as well as politics.

Worked with a great team of people
Front Office RAN Engineer (Former Employee), Reading, ENGMarch 4, 2014
Pros: four days of
Cons: 12 hour shifts
The day would start with the hand over at 7am/7pm as it was a 12hr shift,
Mostly it was a slow start in the morning, going through the ticket que and checking sites are still down, any power issues checked and calling the power companies for ETR,s
Around midday things would pick up as engineers and work permits would be taking place effecting the network,
You – more... get to learn that sites are and do get effected by work orders continually and this has to be checked as not to raise work orders to the field engineers.
I would say the hardest part of the work is when the weather gets bad ie/ rain snow etc,
But this can also be fun as it really pushes you into doing the best as the duty managers need 100% INFORMATION of what is really being effected. – less
