Equinox Software Design Corporation is hiring a specialist to assist in the customer support and product development of our Best in Class enterprise software solutions. The Product Support and Software Development Specialist (PSSDS) role provides our clients with direct advanced technical support while contributing to the design and evolution of our legacy software. This position is critical in helping our clients get the most from our software while providing important information to our software development teams. This position is at a similar level to a Jr. Software engineer.
The PSSDS is a role that will evolve over time due to the complex nature of our flagship product, Control Room Operations Window (CROW). The successful candidate will provide front line and advanced support to our clients using CROW throughout North America while supporting the software engineers in iterating and enhancing our product. The core accountabilities of the PSSDS include;
- Responding to client support issues in a positive, professional and proactive manner
- Maintain ticketing system and internal wiki system
- Oversee and maintain all software documentation
- Executing advanced MS-SQL queries and stored procedures
- Gathering change requests and designing for them
- Reproducing bugs
- Building software packages
- Other duties as directed by the software engineering team
This position requires formal software development education. Naturally collaborative and technically gifted, the successful candidate will have demonstrated competency in .NET software development or significant experience in MS-SQL Server. Naturally outgoing and service oriented, the PSSDS will be as intrinsically motivated by helping others with business issues as they are solving technical problems and building software.
