EnviroLead Canada is looking for an Environmental Specialist for Calgary region. As an Environmental Specialist, you will carry out your duties in consultation with the Project Manager, on all Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) matters. The Environmental Specialist will provide expertise in the identification and management of environmental concerns, issues, and liability with respect to environmental due diligence and project delivery. The Environmental Specialist will also provide strategic environmental advice as it relates to projects particularly from a risk-based perspective and facilitate environmental due diligence for all undertakings in the province of Alberta.
You will be responsible to review and submit all daily field reports, site observations as well as make site recommendations. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the quality, cost efficiency and timeliness of deliverables related to: handling all Alberta-based Environmental Site Assessments and other jobs types as directed my manager. You will be supported by a dynamic Team of technical administrators, business development professionals and many other highly experienced, skilled and educated Professionals. You will report directly to the Project Manager.
A University Degree or College Diploma from a recognized institution Professional Designation (P. Bio, P. Ag, P. Eng) would be an asset. A minimum of 3 years of experience which includes Environmental Site Assessment (ESA)-Phase I and II, implementing remedial action plans, and conducting risk assessment. Candidates must be prepared to work in a multidisciplinary, fast paced project team environment Ability to undertake a variety of project related tasks related to ESA. To be successful in this role, you will have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to resolve issues and recommend solutions, effective analytical, interpretive, and project management skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, project management applications.
