Very dynamic environment
Car Prep (Former Employee), West Covina, CA – May 7, 2013
Pros: limo rides
Cons: summer time is rough
This job had me going all over the city of West Covina. Prepping / cleaning/ delivering cars was fun and kept me busy.
Management was amazing. The company constantly moves everyone around so you work with new people every few months, keeping things fresh.
I learned about being punctual and team work to get tasks done correctly during my time for ERAC. – more... And that you will get rewarded for your hard work. – less

100% sales based, not recommended
Management Trainee (Former Employee), Gaithersburg, MD – May 6, 2013
I did not enjoy working here as the company preaches customer service yet all they care about is sales.

ok company to start out.
Manager (Current Employee), northeastern united states – May 6, 2013
Pros: healthcare, retirement benefits
Cons: long hours, very low pay, always understaffed, deal with angry customers with unrealistic expectations
promotions opportunites are limited once you get to branch manager level. finding any work outside of being a sales representative is almost impossible if you leave the company after a branch manager role. You learn no transferable skills or systems while working for this company. It is looked down upon and almost impossible to attend additional schooling – more... unless online. you will work 55 hour work weeks or more. Great performance will only get you so far in this company. As with most companies make friends with the right people to get where you want to be. It is not flexible with female employees or those with family responsiblities. There are not few opportunities outside of rental like they will tell you when you are interviewing. Those are given to employees who they like and are very vocal about disliking rental. Most importantly it is only a sales job. Anyone and everyone is disposable no matter which level unless you are consistently outperforming your coworkers by 30% sales or more. – less

Awesome Company
Management Assistant (Former Employee), Huntington, WV – May 5, 2013
Enterprise is an awesome company to work for! Upper management always makes you feel appreciated and listens to your concerns. Their culture is unlike any other company. I have never worked for such a great company where hard work is rewarded and appreciated. The compensation depends on the branch you work at and your level of employment. You are guranteed – more... to have a great atmosphere and work with people just like yourself at Enterprise. They teach you great work ethic, management skills, and other skill sets that will stick with you for life. They work hard and reward hard work, but you will work hard. This is not a job for someone who is looking to just slide by. The hardest part of the job is the amount of hours that are put in. – less

good job but no advancement.
Car Prep/Driver (Current Employee), Florence, SC – May 4, 2013
Pros: work is not very hard.
Cons: wok conditions at times.
I am a car prep. That means I just wash the cars and occasionally pick up and drop off customers. I like the job but there are no advancement opportunities.

A great place to work, if the employee has no family. There is little or no work life balance.
Assistant Rental Manager (Former Employee), Lauderhill, FL – May 2, 2013
Pros: performance based compensation, and promoting from within.
Cons: even after promotion, having to get out of the office on a regular basis to wash cars due to lack of car prep employees
It can be physically challenging to be driving around all day, picking up and dropping off renters. Then return to the office and having to wash cars in the Florida sun wearing a jacket suit.

Great learning experience but was a life style
o Management Trainee (Former Employee), Mechanicsburg, PA – April 30, 2013
I worked with great people and learned so much about running a business and having to resolve a variety of issues. I loved that everyone started at the same position so management knew the struggles and actually understood what struggles new employees endured.

Service Agent (Former Employee), Chicopee, MA – April 29, 2013
This job was okay. I enjoyed my time there but as the days went on it proved to be too much. Maybe sales was not the thing for me. Overall this is a good place to launch a career because you do learn valuable sales and customer service techniques.

Fun work environment
Branch Manager (Former Employee), Arlington, VA – April 27, 2013
Pros: company car
Cons: 60+ hour work weeks
My days were pretty much consistant from the next. I had worked in the busiest stores in the Group so my days were very hectic. Most days we would deal with over 100 customer's which made the days go by really quickly, but very long. While dealing with a high volume of customer's I had to do the store training with new employees, do one-on-ones with – more... current employees and maintain good relationships with our clients coming through the doors.

Their were a lot of moving parts with a store. We had Lot Attendants, Management Trainees, Management Assistants and Assistant Manager's. Which all had different roles and I had to manage each one of them differently.

The main object of the job was to provide excellent customer service and to sell the products we had to offer. Each store was graded on customer service. In order to get a promotion, your store's customer service score had to be higher than the company's average. The sales aspect consisted of selling car upgrades, gas, gps units and damage waiver.

The best thing I had learned was how to become a smart business owner. Enterprise has the best training program I've ever seen. They do spend a lot of money on their employees and they want each one of them to be very successful. – less

Great place to learn how to manage a business
Management Trainee (Former Employee), Seattle, WA – April 26, 2013
Pros: fun atmosphere, meeting interesting people, great training program
Cons: pay, washing cars in business attire, hours
A good company for those just out of business school.

Great training program that teaches people the ropes from the ground up. Typically, a management trainee will be responsible for cleaning cars, writing customer tickets, pick ups and drop offs and contact customers to confirm rentals.

Your day begins early and ends late.

Don't do it
Area Manager (Former Employee), FL – April 25, 2013
Pros: zero
Cons: everything else
Trust me when I say - this is not worth your time and energy. Poor money, 70 hours a week, customers and managers screaming at you all day.

Friendly workplace
Area Driver (Current Employee), McKinney, TX – April 25, 2013
Pros: some free lunches, and happy hours
Cons: no healthcare, .25 cents a year raise.
Typical day, moving cars, and customers where ever they need to go. I learned my way around N. Dallas area. Management is ok, they pretty much compete against one another, it's all about the money.
Co-workers are good hard working people trying to survive. Hardest part of the job is not getting enough hours, or pay. I do enjoy meeting people
