I would alternate between working with the nursing, x-rays, and filing. I spent a lot of time with the inpatients by keeping the company, changing beds, clothes, bathing, and playing games.
I learnt that people really dont like being in the hospital, but if they have to stay there, they really like to be treated like really normal people. A lot of the time, they just want to sit and talk.
I dont really know how it was managed because I was only a co-op student but I'm sure it was run properly because it's a hospital.
Everyone was very nice and helpful while I was there.
The hardest part of this job was probably leaving every day because some people were so nice to talk to and you really get attached to someone when you talk/see them every day.
Finally, the most enjoyable part about working there was people the interaction with the people and just knowing you're doing something right and helping people.
