The System and Network Administrator is responsible for daily management of the IT infrastructure, advanced level support for technical issues and for providing future direction for building and managing the corporate infrastructure.
Manage all components (physical and virtual) of company infrastructure in all sites.
Take care of AD administration: user and group creation, configuration, maintenance; OU structure maintenance.
Manage group policy: GPO creation, configuration and troubleshooting.
Configure, manage, troubleshoot and maintain Exchange 2010.
Configure and support Blackberry operating systems: BES, manage users, troubleshoot server, user and device related issues.
Perform backup of servers and desktops: configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of Symantec BackupExec 2012, development of backup policy, development and maintenance of related documentation.
Configure, maintain and troubleshoot virtualization environment (Hyper-Vet VMware) and manage VMs lifecycle.
Configure, maintain and troubleshoot storage: (DAS), (NAS) and (SAN) DELL.
Install server OS, configure and troubleshoot.
Manage server and network, performance and fault monitoring, services and application availability, resources utilization.
Manage network infrastructure: configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of the network equipment (switches, firewalls, access points, etc.).
Manage IT security: configure and support Antimalware and SPAM filtering solutions; patch management; deployment and enforcement of the security model for managing and granting access to resources; configure and support data encryption on laptops; configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of VPN; manage Mobile Devices Security (BB, iPhone, Android).
Manage log: configure and maintain a solution for gathering, storing and analyzing logs from various systems, devices and applications; responsible for reviewing logs on periodic basis and ensuring that corresponding alerts and notifications are configured.
Install, configure and maintain SQL servers, create and configure DBs as required: MS SQL.
Troubleshoot 2-level and 3-level application, services and hardware.
Develop and maintain system documentation for systems and services.
Support and participate in the implementation of support systems for other departments; finance, procurement, project management.
Maintain and support current telephone system; participate in the development, configure and support future telephone (VoIP) solution.
Analyze and evaluate company’s needs for equipment and software.
Perform proactive research and evaluation of technologies leading to increase the efficiency of the organisation.
Coordinate planned system maintenance with internal department managers to ensure minimal impact to internal and external customers.
Participate in IT department tactical planning and budgeting.
Manage system alerts and provide after-hours and weekend support when necessary.
Provide backup support for other members of the IT Team.
University degree or college diploma in computer science or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Information Technology.
Minimum of three (3) years in a similar position.
Bilingual in English and French, written and spoken.
Excellent knowledge of MS Windows Servers 2003/2008/2008R2/Windows.
Excellent knowledge of computer and server hardware.
Excellent knowledge of network technologies and services (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, VPN, WLAN).
Excellent knowledge of MS Active Directory and related services.
Excellent knowledge of Exchange 2010, BES 4/5.
Strong knowledge of systems and network security, antivirus and spam filtering.
Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies: Hyper-V, VMWare.
Strong knowledge of MS Office 2007, 2010.
Good knowledge of storage technologies and hardware.
Good knowledge of SQL 2008.

MSCA/MCTP Certification, an asset.
