PROCESS CONTROL ENGINEER
Provide support for process control strategies, data acquisition and APC in order to maximize safety, efficiency and production performances of the biofuels plant.
Work closely with process engineering to develop, improve and implement control strategies within the DCS / SIS
Implement and maintain basics, intermediate and advanced level process control strategies.
Participate / lead DCS alarms management review.
Implement / manage real-time operations management software.
Create and provide instruction for training on control subjects as needed.
Participate in site acceptance tests, commissioning and start up.
Support units by trouble shooting control related issues that impact operations.
Manage the documentation of system standards, control procedures, DCS architecture and control schemes.
Participate in incident investigation if needed.
Work closely with process technician to the effective use of the systems.
Electrical or chemical engineering degree with specialisation in process controls
Registration or eligibility for registration with APEGGA
Three (3) years of industrial plant experience related to process control
Motivated, willing, determined and must strive to attain goals and not be deterred by challenges.
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Must have willingness to mentor and train plant personnel on process control topics.
Must be able to manage all aspects of process control development
