SUMMARY
Supervises monitors controls and coordinates the operation of production facilities to ensure safe and efficient operation and ensure the company’s production targets are met and ensures that the plant operations are not interrupted.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees the daily activities related to the process
Apply Process Safety Management (PSM) practices in all day to day operations
Maintain operational compliance requirements to all regulated standards by ensuring employees are trained in policies regarding operations, health and safety and environment practices. Ensure high standard of safety and housekeeping is maintained in all work areas
Assess operator performance, initiate training and confirm qualifications to do work in a safe and efficient manner
Conduct safety meetings and permit audit, conduct shift meetings, monitor training activities
Collect, review and analyze daily process and equipment data for trends, abnormalities and potential opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement
Monitors product standards and implements quality-control programs
Works with Managers to implement the company’s policies and goals
Participate in major equipment outage planning and support construction and maintenance activities as required
EDUCATION
Relevant technical diploma would be an asset
EXPERIENCE
10 to 13 years of experience in a similar position

Experience in oil & gas industry
