SUMMARY
Participate in the start-up and operations of the gasification process with the production of second-generation alcohols.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Operate the process safely and reliably by performing routine operating tasks (monitor levels, temperatures, pressures, flow rates, etc.)
-Operate the distributed control system (DCS)
-Operate exchangers, mechanical and thermal oil system, pumps and compressors
-Take samples
-Ensure work permits are completed properly and issued in a timely manner
-Report the slightest failure in the working of safety procedures and equipment, during inspection rounds
-Intervene in the event of an emergency or a disruption
-Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards of quality and safety at work
-Attend/ Participate in shift team meetings
-Work on rotating shifts (day, night, and weekends)
EDUCATION
-Chemical engineering technology post-secondary program
-Power Engineering certificate with a minimum of a 4th class ticket

- Relevant experience in a similar position
