Maintenance Improvement Project
Reporting to the Maintenace Support Manager you will be responsible for failure analysis, equipment strategy development and reliability improvement initiatives for electrical , instrumentation , static / stationary and rotating equipment
Originates and develops reliability programs forequipment and components
Conducts an analysis of reliability problems and investigates to determine the reliability required for the particular situation considering the cost limitations for equipment up/down time, repair/replacement costs, weight, size, and availability of materials/equipment.
Determines the cost advantages of alternatives for developing action plans to comply with client demands for reliability processes/equipment to avoid failures.
Monitor component performance and condition monitoring data.
Continually review, develop and update Preventative Maintenance programs.
Work closely with Asset Cross Functional Teams to reduce outstanding issues, attend monthly meetings, and assist in developing short and long range plans for continuous improvement to availability and reliability of equipment.
Ensure all necessary drawings, manuals and spare parts inventory are frequently reviewed and updated to meet the department’s needs.
Research and development for oilsand practices influenced by reliability principles.
Estimates personnel needs and coordinates technicians to accomplish the objective of cost effective reliability improvements for projects.
Develop expertise in reliability techniques (Reliability Centered Maintenance, Failure Mode Effects Analysis) and apply as appropriate.
Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgical, Structural) , technologist or journeyperson trade certification with 3 or more years experience preferably in a Maintenance organization.
Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and decision making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to learn from others and adopt best practices.
Works well on own and in teams.
SAP , JDE , Maximo or similiar type CMMS with maintenance planning experience an asset.
Fly in fly out program with 7 / 7 and 4 / 3 rotations
