APM (Current Employee) – Edmonton – 4 December 2013
Management needs some work to have better down communication and working with all employees. The treatment is poor, communication is lacking, the mentoring programing is non-existing. Promises made are not kept.
Good benifits, open bar and great xmas parties, beer sometimes in the fridge for after work
Backstabing by management and some other salary workers.
Project Manager (Current Employee) – Calgary, AB – 19 June 2017
A solid construction company and overall good place to work and build relationships. Company is way behind with its technology, tools and software to enable the employees to work effectively and efficiently.
Anonymous (Former Employee) – Edmonton, AB – 10 May 2017
Administrative Manager is all about creating high school drama, gossiping, and setting up the team & employees for failure. They are completely unprofessional and lack leadership and management skill. There is no proper feedback for employees working under them , no communication, no professional development plans, and above all NO RESPECT. They thrive on insulting others and creating rumors to stay on top of things. And of course the top management listens to them as they have been there long enough to control staff with fear and by keeping them in the dark.
The only positive thing about working there was that colleagues were supportive and respectful, also the company have good and generous benefit package.
Poor and unprofessional Management, No Respect, Toxic Environment filled with envy, jealousy, and rumors.
Jr. Project coordinator (Current Employee) – Toronto, ON – 20 April 2017
Great company to work for, with great co workers. The projects ive worked where awsome. Learned so much working with Ellisdon. My work experience gained there will definately help me in the future on other jobs.
Project Coordinator Co-op Student (Former Employee) – St. John's, NL – 10 April 2017
EllisDon provides a very open work environment. They encourage you to take on more responsibility and to challenge yourself. Working on site comes with early hours but site positions are also very engaging.
Nice people, challenging work. Nice team atmosphere
Labourer Lead Hand (Former Employee) – Calgary ab – 24 January 2017
Enjoyed working with them a lot. Felt like part of the team and mostly everyone takes pride in their work and themselves. Interesting learning opportunities. They are moving away from producing the work themselves, straight management only.
Project Coordinator (Former Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 9 January 2017

Carpenter (Former Employee) – Edmonton, AB – 14 August 2016
Worked as a carpenter, great company, great management, good crew, I enjoyed working for them for a year, would go back on a seconds notice. Would recommend to anyone looking for laborer or carpenter work.
Good management, good hours.
(not up to the company) Crew can be difficult sometimes
Coordinator (Former Employee) – Calgary, AB – 18 May 2016
Very poor management of time and people. They treat you like gold but the backstabbing that goes on is ridiculous. It's a big boys club and if you don't belong you won't work here long.
Money was low and the benifits ok but there are better jobs. I found one only after a week when they laid me off for no reason. Double the money and better work environment. Still here today and I love it.
