I love to work with people
Freelance (Former Employee), Ridgewood, NJ – May 11, 2013
To make sure all product are presentable to my customer. I learned that there's always someone who is in need of learning how to apply make up and how to use skin care.In management is very inportant to have a great relationship with your co- workers. The hardest part of the job is when the weather doesn't permit my customer from coming to the store.When – more... my customers leave with a smile . – less

Poor Planning, Poor Supervision
Forklift Operator (Former Employee), Salem, VA – May 8, 2013
Pros: location, very close to home, gas saver
Cons: everything else: bad management, attitude-filled co-workers, hours constantly changing, salary was not sufficient
What I learned from Elizabeth Arden was general knowledge of how to operate more forklift vehicles. I did establish good relationships with several co-workers and one of the supervisors but overall, it was not my favorite job. Management as a whole was not good, at all. It seemed as if, each manager had their own agenda, and was determind to carry that – more... agenda out, in spite of the other managers. The work itself was very easy, and I did not mind working extra hours, when available, which was a rarity. Therefore, I would say the hardest part was having to deal with the constant change from management. I most enjoyed the location of the job. On a bad day, I could make it the work in 7 minutes, ON FOOT! – less

Fun & fulfilling temporary job.
Planner (Former Employee), Seal Beach, CA (worked from home) – April 12, 2013
Pros: not having to commute.
Cons: not always able to take a break or lunch.
A typical day at work with start with checking emails and putting out any current fires. Then checking the status of shipments and making sure everything went smoothly there. After that update shipping forecasts and analyzing where new shipments could be found. Throughout the day I was available to the various buyers for any questions or help they may – more... need. The management and co workers were very professional. The hardest part of the job was figuring out the new system and finding out who to go to to get the job done. My supervisor was traveling a lot and not always available. The most enjoyable part of the job was interacting with the buyers and the sales staff. – less

Helping customers with product information and details
Fragrance Specialist (Former Employee), Toronto, ON – April 1, 2013
I learned to interact with clients and help them fulfill their needs in what they were looking for. If they could not find what they were looking for then I would always find a alternative or solution to the problem.

Productive and fun job
Free Lancer / Beauty Advisor (Current Employee), Los Angeles, CA – February 20, 2013
Pros: i can pick my days to work, my days off, and a good pay
Cons: no benefits and no sick paid days.
My typical day is going and greeting customers making them feel comfortable. Advice them the best items from Elizabeth for them. Ive learned to become a better leader and even more about the line itself. My coworkers are amazing and fast learners. The hardest is when days are very slow and almost no customers are around. The most enjoyable part is welcoming – more... and making every single customer feel welcome and being glad to work with such amazing workers and seeing many different types of races. – less

Enjoyable and a fun place to work at.
Fragrance Specialist (Current Employee), Miami, FL – January 29, 2013
One of my favorite things about working at Elizabeth Arden is that I can engage with the customers and offer them the best fragrances we have to offer. I learned how to sell and promote fragrances to the customers and making their shopping experience fun and worthwhile.

Marketing Assistant (Temporary Assignment) (Former Employee), New York, NY – January 21, 2013
Pros: on friday's office closes at 2
Cons: i wish there was more ethnic diversity
People came across nice until they found out I was a temp then everyone started acting standoffish. Work/life balance is good for what I notice. The pay is horrendous.

A great informative job of the latest fragrances.
Fragrance Specialist (Current Employee), San Antonio, TX – December 28, 2012
Pros: being trusted going in and out, fun working one of the hottest fragrance lines in the country.
Cons: no benefits, healthcare, or retirement plan, standing most of the day.
A typical day at work is to take note of the overall merchandise stock on the shelves, and what is expected to be in stock room from company deleveries to Macy's. Find out what has sold in my lines and of the competitors lines. Greet all of the other Vendors to see who my competion is and what gifts they are giving out with purchases.I have learned – more... that the early bird catches the worm.
The hardest part of the job is making sales without samples or gifts, but I get it done solely on the fragrance itself. I enjoy the closing, when the buyer is happy with the purchase for what it is, a great fragrance. – less

Varied role, energetic and fun
counter manager (Current Employee), london – August 30, 2012
Pros: loads of free company luxury products
Cons: long hours
1. Smile, have a joke with colleagues then compare figures and performance with other counter managers.
2. Set up the counter for the events for the day
3. Get read to greet customers and start business.

I have learned that good time management is crutial to get the job done and keeping on smiling makes the tasks easier.

My co-workers have a good – more... sense of fellowship and team work which is very good in our environment.

The hardest part of the job is maintaining a fast increasing sales performance within the competion environment.

The most enjoyable part of the job is succeeding at competition. – less
