- Grade 12 and the completion of a one year certificate program such as a Special Needs Educational Assistant program
- Minimum of one year related experience including experience with students or clients who have special needs
- Excellent communication both verbal and written
- Superb interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
Equivalencies to the above qualifications will be considered.
Hours of work: up to 7 hours per day, Monday – Friday. Although the number of hours per week cannot be guaranteed, due to significant shortages of educational assistants, those individuals willing to accept assignments throughout the City of Edmonton can expect regular work. Excellent opportunities also exist for those seeking permanent employment.
Rate of Pay: $17.65 - $20.66 per hour.
Benefits: Excellent benefits package provided to staff who receive long term assignments beyond 25 days in duration.
