Edmonton Public Schools – Facilities Maintenance is seeking applications to
fill a number of Maintenance Worker positions in our Grounds and Labour area. Successful candidates may be assigned to various types of work requiring a broad range of skills.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s licence, and must have experience driving trucks up to 1 ton, towing trailers and operating skid steer loaders.
Consideration will be given to applicants who have experience in the following areas:
horticulture, landscaping, grounds care and pruning
operating commercial riding mowers, line trimmers, chainsaws and other
gas-powered equipment used for grounds maintenance
operating front end loaders and/or forklifts
operating moving trucks up to 3 tons
repairing asphalt and/or concrete
repairing chain link fence
installing and/or repairing playground equipment
warehouse experience using a computerized system
Applicants must possess good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team environment; ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and physically able to undertake tasks that involve heavy lifting
(up to 25 kg), bending, walking, kneeling and standing.
Hours of work: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday
Location: 10515 – 100 Street, Edmonton, Alberta
Rate of pay: $19.04 per hour to $27.86 per hour
