Are you excited about guiding young children as they explore their world and gain valuable skills?

Edmonton Hospital Workers’ Child Care Society is seeking a Child Development Worker or a Special Needs Educational Assistant to work in our Toddler classroom (ages 12 months to two years). This is a one-year temporary position starting November 26, covering a maternity leave, but is likely to turn permanent after one year. Our program is inclusive, play-based, and inspired by Reggio Emilia. We are seeking someone with:

  • Alberta Child Development Worker (Level 2) certificate, OR a Special Needs Educational Assistant certificate
  • Current first aid certification including child and infant CPR
  • Valid security clearance with vulnerable sector, completed within the past six months
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Experience and willingness for programming appropriate activities based on children’s interests and adapting to varying skill levels
