Position: Matrix Case Manager/ Terms: Full time contract until March 31, 2014: Salary starting at $48,000 /Location: Edmonton/ Closing date: January 16, 2012. The Organization: The Edmonton Drug Treatment and Community Restoration Court (EDTCRC) is a specialized court providing treatment for drug-involved offenders who meet specified criteria. It provides an alternative to incarceration by involving the participant in an intensive drug treatment program that requires weekly court attendance, regular and frequent drug testing, intense monitoring by case managers and Probation including referral to community agencies and programming. The Matrix Case Manager works in conjunction with the treatment team, the Probation Officer and the Court team.

Qualifications: Ability to work both independently and as part of multidisciplinary team, excellent oral/written communication skills, the ability to maintain accurate records, extensive knowledge of and practical experience in group facilitation methods and best practices; familiarity with Edmonton’s community services and social programs related to addiction recovery and community reintegration; competent keyboarding and computer skills in a Microsoft environment; post-secondary degree or diploma in the Social Sciences.

Matrix is a ready-made intensive outpatient program which includes both group and individual client sessions. Using the Matrix curriculum and under the direction of the Executive Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering of the Matrix outpatient treatment program to eligible participants in the EDTCRC. Additional responsibilities include; providing intake assessments, carrying a caseload, working with community agencies to secure treatment, housing, funding and other required supports. Training in this method of addiction treatment will be provided to the successful candidate.
