SUMMARY OF POSITION
The incumbent is accountable for the financial affairs of Eco-Tec Limited, Eco-Tec Inc. and Prosep Technologies Ltd (Europe) which includes its accounting, financial planning, financial reporting, banking, insurance and internal control systems.
The Vice President – Finance/CFO will work closely with the President & CEO to enhance the growth of the company.
The Vice President – Finance/CFO will also provide management and leadership to subordinates within the department, to create a smooth functioning, responsive, effective and efficient team meeting departmental objectives in line with company goals.
1) Control and Planning
a. Establish company financial objectives
b. Signing officer for cheques, contracts, quotations, pricing and purchases
c. Ensure proper controls are present and functioning
d. Establish and maintain overall administration of subsidiary companies which includes, budget planning, reporting practices, standard business procedures, etc.
e. Obtain/Renew company insurance for property and risk
f. Oversee payroll, benefit, and pricing administration
g. Approve quotations (depending on size of order which requires 2 signatures).
2) Reporting and Interpreting
a. Review Financial statements, monthly and annual
b. Review consolidated entity for Eco-Tec Limited
c. Oversee Government reporting
d. Financial overview of all operating companies
e. Preparation of financial information for Board of Directors
a. Oversee management of funds, cash flow, line of credit, etc.
b. Manage the Share administration, including, dividends, issuance of options, financial reporting
c. Oversee tax administration
Oversee Letters of Credit, Foreign Exchange, Forward Exchange Contracts, Bank Guarantees
4) Understand company’s discount structure, commission structure for Agents, Distributors, etc.
5) Gain a thorough understanding of Shareholder’s Agreement and gives direction when necessary.
a) Communicate department and company objectives/goals and provide assistance and support to personnel
b) Maximize potential of subordinates through training and development
c) Manage and delegate responsibilities to ensure proper utilization of personnel
d) Anticipate, detect, analyze and resolve departmental problems
e) Prepare and conduct personnel performance evaluations
f) Department budget preparation, adherence and control
g) Establish and document department procedures
h) Provide business advice and support to all levels of management regarding all aspects of the operation.
Education: University Degree (4 year)
Experience: Ten (10) Years + related capital equipment, manufacturing experience
