SUMMARY OF POSITION
The incumbent is responsible for all aspects of the Shipping/Receiving and Stores requirements.
Shipping & Receiving
o Process and check all required customs documentation (MIGRA, International Shipments) and package/crate and label all items to be shipped.
o Complete bills of lading, record all shipments and complete VIS data entry.
o Assist with documents - Shipping Dangerous Goods and ensuring all required paperwork is processed and up to date (MSDS sheets, labels, etc.).
o Trace shipments, arrange transportation, arrange courier shipments and match freight invoices for approval.
o Receive all incoming shipments, inspect all shipments to ensure quantity and quality are as per specification, process packing slips.
o Ensure that MSDS are received for new products (process to personnel responsible for MSDS, requesting update).
o Spark testing of lined vessels and complete Quality Assurance Sheets.
o Compile the Receivers Memo for non-conforming product.
o Release equipment on receipt of Release Order or Quality Assurance Form.
o Complete Quality Assurance Sheets as required (notified by Manufacturing Engineering Manager i.e. Pumps, Laterals, Valves, Linings etc.)
o Attend to Parts counter, fill orders (per blue sheets) as required.
o Pull inventory parts as required from bills of materials, workorders, etc.
o Perform stock checks and record discrepancies.
o Assist with cycle counts each month and physical year-end inventory.
o Compile a Non-conformance Form for goods considered unfit for re-stocking.
o Compile the Scrap Report Form.
o Segregate materials and parts where full traceability is required (ASME, TSSA, MTR’s)
Education: High school graduate – College Degree in Business an asset.
Experience: 1-2 years experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with negotiating (with freight/trucking companies).
2-3 years experience shipping/receiving & exporting documentation.
Warehouse & inventory experience an asset.
Skills: * Strong aptitude for working with numbers and details.
- Basic computer skills – Update Excel, Word.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong ability to take initiative/proactive skills, must be adaptable/flexible.
- Results oriented, cooperative team player.
Other Desired Skills: * MRP or Just-In–Time knowledge - Knowledge of customs and export regulations (US & Overseas).
- Familiar with Inco Terms 2000, ASME, TSSA Requirements.
- Knowledge of Letter of Credit.
- Ability to operate Small Tools, Fork Lift, Pallet Trucks Electric and Manual, Overhead Crane and Walkie.
- Able to work overtime when necessary.
