SUMMARY OF POSITION
The incumbent is responsible for the evaluation of technical information provided, developing the design basis and equipment sizing, design new types of equipment, and for the preparation of sales proposals. This includes providing assistance in project qualification, system configuration, economic benefits and comparisons. Occasional technical assistance in sales presentations will be made.
Provide assistance to the Regional Sales Managers and manufacturing representative network/distributors in project qualification.
Assist in developing best value system configuration for projects.
Review and evaluate technical information received.
Develop the design basis.
Select and size all equipment required and prepare the equipment list.
Update application manuals, standard proposals, and design basis as required.
Prepare operating conditions for equipment after receipt of order.
Provide immediate assistance to Customer Service, Sales, and Design Engineering as required for process related problems.
Develop designs of new products or applications.
Evaluate new processes.
Approve and stamp process drawings and calculations.
Create detailed system operating conditions.
Prepare Process Design Packages (PDP) for systems about to sell or sold.
Proactively take the lead to resolve problems and/or concerns associated with new projects.
Prepare sales proposals and pricing.
Assist in the Sales Quotation to Distributors.
Prepare budgetary quotations using Eco-Estimator software.
Attend all meetings related to assigned projects.
Provide occasional telephone or email responses directly to potential clients when sales staff are absent from the office.
Education: Chemical Engineer or Technologist. P.Eng. is an asset
Experience: Open; 3+ years related industry experience, chemical, steel and/or water treatment applications an asset.
- Results oriented, strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good time management skills required. Self directed to achieve results.
- Excellent command of the English language, both oral and written.
- Team player and willing to take direction.
- Demonstrate tact, diplomacy, flexibility and excellent interpersonal skills.
