The RN Educator is responsible for providing clinical support, education and guidance to all nursing staff, residents and families as well as non-nursing staff.
Ensures all nursing staff are able to meet care residents needs by providing clinical education and training in topics such as palliative care, pain management, abuse prevention and awareness, etc;
Ensures resident care standards are met and maintained by coordinating and leading the CQI process and providing support to staff investigating and managing serious incidents;
Develops benchmarks and indicators to ensure care standards are met and audits care areas on an annual basis to ensure requirements are met or exceeded
Networks with Care Directors and health care professionals and participate as member of site Ethics Committee
Experience and education:
2 years of experience as clinical coordinator desirable
Current Nursing registration in the province of AB
Skills and abilities:
Ability to develop and deliver clinical training;
Ability to multitask;
Effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills;
Customer service oriented and skilled communicator and role model;
Computer literacy in Windows environment, including email, Word, Excel and Power Point;
Must be willing to work the necessary hours to ensure the effective operation of the facility
