Eastern Chrysler Dodge Jeep is seeking a motivated individual to join the exciting world of Retail Automotive Dealerships as our next Controller due to organizational growth.

Supervise all aspects of the accounting department and prepare monthly Financial Statements.
Reports to: General Manager
Prepare monthly Chrysler Dealer Financial Statements and bank Reports
Oversee and finalize all aspects of bi-weekly and commission payrolls
Handle H.R. and benefit program for approximately 100 staff members
Oversee and finalize all aspects of Year End Review preparation for the Auditors including our Rental and Lease Fleets.
Responsible for coordinating aspects of the budgeting and forecasting processes in Excel format and monitoring progresses.
Development and reporting of key management metrics, and action plans for follow up.
Vendor payments and payroll processing to ensure accuracy and integrity of Eastern Chrysler and client transactions.
Coaching and guidance of staff supporting various aspects of the role, including maintaining accurate schedules of all main accounts.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Advanced skills in Accounting - the knowledge and practice of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including the practices and procedures associated with implementing GAAP in organizations.
Intermediate knowledge of taxation – the application of taxation accounting principles to business issues of taxation management.
Advanced knowledge of Excel, for forecasting monthly sales and net profit by department and payroll functions.
Intermediate Project Management Skill – demonstrates ability to structure, manage, and oversee the development and implementation of projects in an effective and efficient manner.
Intermediate skill in auditing - the application of the principles, processes, and techniques and tools of auditing for year-end income tax preparation supporting documents and schedules.
Advanced skills in people management, leadership and training skills as well as problem solving and organizational skills
Education and Experience
Ideal candidate will possess (or be enrolled in obtaining) a professional accounting designation, finance degree, or similar educational background, along with relevant experience relating to the areas above.

Our General Manager was the controller for the last 6 years and will be available for ongoing training and assistance with the transition to the Automotive Dealership world. The assistant controller will also be an invaluable asset for the best candidate.
