Job Posting – Residential Youth Care Workers
If you are a student looking for a flexible job, a way to help your community, and gain some valuable experience for future academic pursuits, we are interested in having you join our team at Eagle Nest Community and Aboriginal Services Ltd.
You will provide a therapeutic daily living environment for the residents of ENCAAS resources. This entails providing and maintaining a safe, supportive atmosphere in a residential setting that is culturally open and accessible to all children in care. In addition, you will support the development of children whose families are unavailable or unable to meet their needs. The child care worker position reports directly to the individual ENCAAS Resource Managers.
• 1-2 year post-secondary education in a related field (Psychology, First Nations Studies, Criminology, Social Work, Nursing, Sciences etc.)
• Valid Level 1 First Aid certification
• Food Safe certification
• Must be able to provide clean criminal record abstract through the RCMP
ENCAAS operates resources 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Youth care workers work 8 hours shifts or 4 hour shift
Shift Times: Days: 8am-4pm, Afternoons: 4pm-12pm, Nights: 12am-8am,
Float shifts: 12pm-8pm, or 2pm-10pm, or 6pm-2am.
4 hour shifts: 12pm-4pm, or 8pm-12am
