Senior journeyman electrician, electrical engineer or electrical technologist with detailed knowledge of the development, interpretation and application of CSA Z462 Workplace electrical safety Standard, as described below. Position involves assessing electrical systems and working with clients to develop best practice policies, and to provide training to clients on safety standards. The successful applicant must be an excellent communicator and educator.
Requirements for the position:
Minimum 20 years electrical power systems experience as a Journeyman Electrician, Electrical Engineering Technologist or Electrical Engineer. Field experience required.
Must be an electrical safety subject matter expert with specific competency in the CSA Z462 Workplace electrical safety Standard or the NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace
Must speak and write fluent English no exceptions
Must have proven competence with safe installation requirements for electrical power systems
Must have proven competence with electrical single line diagrams and interpretation
Must have proven competence with electrical protective devices, protection & co-ordination
Must have proven competence in completing shock hazard analysis
Must have proven competence in completing arc flash hazard analysis
Must be competent in Electrical Specific PPE, Tools & Equipment
Number of positions: 3
Locations of work: Head office is located in Calgary Alberta. Two positions will be primarily performed in Alberta; the third position will be primarily performed in Ontario; all positions may require travel to other locations within Canada
Type of Position: Project-based, contract position.
Compensation (range): Compensation will be based on experience; within the range of $70-90 per hour.
