Marketing Manager

“Building the way in Victoria,” Abstract Developments, a leading developer and custom home builder with more than fifteen years of proven experience, is seeking a qualified and creative Marketing Manager. Reporting directly to the President and working closely with the Development Team, the successful candidate will coordinate and oversee all marketing and communications activities for Abstract’s three key business divisions: development, custom homes, and commercial construction.

The manager will be responsible for executing primary objectives including but not limited to:

Establishing strategic marketing and communications plans;
Directing corporate and project specific brand standards and promotional activities; and,
Managing media, community, and partner relations.

Position Summary:

Specific tasks and responsibilities include:

Champion corporate and project specific brand development
Develop and refine company marketing processes and systems
Create and distribute bi-weekly marketing updates for management team
Drive advertising and promotional activities
Manage and oversee outside marketing consultants and agencies
Champion all web strategy development and design oversight
Implement public relations and image strategies
Establish and maintain effective relationships with businesses, community, news media, and sponsoring partner leaders
Plan and conduct market research (monitor, evaluate, and report on key marketing metrics, conduct data analysis)
Maintain a close watch on industry trends, competitor activity, consumer attitudes, and gather customer feedback and attributes to help guide strategies
Review and management of all project marketing budgets (variable and fixed)
Responsible for delivery of marketing materials for all projects
Responsible for overall marketing brand and marketing communications for Abstract

Skills, Knowledge, Experience, Education

An applicable degree or diploma in business administration, marketing, communications, public relations, advertising, or relative field is required
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing (real estate development/homebuilding industry experience is preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Strong analytical and project management skills
Willingness to work collaboratively and with a positive approach
Solid grasp on branding, brand management, and marketing communications
Strong computer skills
