User Experience Designer

Intelligent Imaging Systems Inc. is a supplier and integrator of some of the most advanced imaging systems today. Our core markets are transportation safety and security, law enforcement and public security.

Our small and quickly expanding company is seeking candidates for a User Experience Designer, to begin immediately.

We are looking for a talented user experience designer to join our team. The User Experience Designer will be responsible for the end-to-end process of transforming complex
product requirements into visually stunning and highly functional user interfaces, including the
creation of persona profiles, problem scenarios, and use cases. As a member of the Product Development team, the User Experience Designer will collaborate to continuously improve the quality and innovation of the user interface for products and enterprise systems.

The following are essential requirements:

  • A passion for UI and Web design trends.
  • Strong understanding of Web usability and interaction design.
  • Strong understanding of Mobile usability and interaction design.
  • Has participated in user experience evaluation
  • At least three years experience of hands-on design and implementation of business solutions supported by IT.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Commitment to personal growth and continuous learning.
  • Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Assets
College or university education in design is an asset.

Additional:
Occasional travel is a component of this position. Security clearances must be obtainable for travel purposes.

Intelligent Imaging Systems’ head office is in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada with sales offices located in Edmonton, Alberta; Vancouver, British Columbia; Ottawa, Ontario; and Winchester, Kentucky. This position will be based out of Edmonton.
