some management problems, work flow could be more effecient

This company has a huge turnaround for ALL workers. Much internal bickering. Safety Issues. I would not recomment this company for any positions advertised.

Would not recommend working at this branch of the company. Upper management is very poor and blind to the issues around them. Micro managed, promote inadequate/underqulaified/technically incompetent people. HR has too much power.

D-R is a very fast-paced manufacturing environment. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities. A "typical" day is actually no typical. D-R consistently provides learning and growth opportunities for those who show interest and a desire to grow.

In most cases, the rank and file works harmoniously with all levels of management, but, as is common – more... in any large work force, there is occasional dissention. However, owing to the maturity of the work force, mutual respect and rational discussion typically leads to mutually acceptable resolution of issues.

There are third and fourth generation employees, which sometimes make changes a challenge. There is normally enough maturity and wisdom in management to make good use of the generations of experience and knowledge available to them so that new processes are commonly implemented quickly and effectively.

Dresser-Rand constantly utilizes advancements in technology to maintain optimum quality, efficiency and competiveness.

i am currently handling a man power of gas compressor plant field. such as maintenance,shift,safety etc. this is to typical too handle but i have gain more knowledge from here and its to good for me to gain knowledge. my next step is to change job to improve myself, i have to gain knowldge from offhore this is my aim to success in offshore job.

Have nothing but the highest regards for everything that Dresser-Rand does in business and in the environment in which you work. Learned much about the company and what it does as well as gaining experience in business. Management is all extremely kind and is always willing to help.

Dresser has a friendly atmosphere, my co-workers enjoyed a good joke as much as teaching and helping people to do the best job they could. Management seems a little out of touch with who does the most work and only knows how each department is producing, not by individual. That was the hardest part of the job for me, being the highest producing BOM – more... planner, but still was laid off when the workload decreased.

work is technical but enjoyable,but sometimes very challenging.
I learned patience, quality and safety are very important traits
that must be displayed each day.
Management seemed to change quite often and are not consistent
with their decision making.
A Union Shop of which there is very little unity and few work ethics.
Watching your back and having – more... to do the work of others while they hid.

I would go in and clean the office and shop. The management was decent to work with. The hardest part of the job was trying to get all the work done in a 8 hour day.

was a nice place to work till the company went public in 2006 now its not co workers are great management is not they lost the respect of employes bye there actions of treating people

I only spent few months in this company due to the negative environment in the finance department. There is a high turn over rate and employees are extremely unhappy there.

Management tends to talk you down and even cross the line by yelling and screaming.

the company overall pays very well and you get 3 weeks of vacation right of the bat. There is – more... an option to buy an extra week of vacation. However, there is no work / life balance.

Also, forget about all the extra perks you may get in bigger companies.

great people to work with, fun co-workers. if you stay busy, the days fly bye. learned necessary skills to further myself with my next job. the manager were very laid back. the hardest part of the job was the constant changes being made by customers and constantly updating drawings. the most enjoyable part of the job were the holiday competions

good people to work for but lots of traveling away from home.

I only worked there for a short time as a temp but it was very enjoyable. A laid back place with lots of friendly faces and numerous people willing to help you out. Co-workers are wonderful.

Learned alot in D-R due to the training was provided. The management was fine and the Co-workers are friendly and willingly to share the information. The hardest part of the work is meeting impossible deadlines.The most enjoyable part of the work is manange to close an order.

Why perform internal support, no recognition of the work done and had excessive pressure.
Good place to work, with annual bonus for performance.
