Job Description:
The Field Service Trainer’s primary role is to educate service providers to more efficiently and economically repair my client’s products, thus adding value to the products and increasing market share.

This position provides service support to customers and your sales team, helping both to resolve technical issues with the products. The position also involves training for other staff and dealer service staff.

Responsibilities:
1.Training – The FST will arrange and provide field service training for all dealers and their service providers. Training will involve demonstrating the Certified Training programs and encouraging others to participate.

2.Tech Support Documentation – Keeping service providers personnel up to date on the latest service techniques.

3.Tech Support – Establish a liaison between dealers and local component vendors, (Ex. Engine Distributors) to ensure local service and warranty support.

4.Report Generations – Prepares and submits informative, timely field service reports to the Regional Manager and the Service Manager.

5.Service Parts Sales – Promotes the sale of service parts and accessories to meet corporate objectives.

6.Travel and Planning – Establishing effective travel plans with specific and primary and secondary objectives.

7.Inventory – Utilize and maintain all company issued tools, supplies and materials.

8.Self-Development – Staying current on all repair procedures, part changes, and machine improvements.

Requirements:

  • Heavy Equipment Technician. (Red Seal)
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in repairing mechanical equipment and training on internal combustion engine theory and repair of air conditioning and training on the HVAC theory.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics and basic electrics.
  • Ability to read schematics.
  • Clean Drug/Alcohol and Criminal Record Check.
  • Excellent verbal, written and public speaking skills.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing process improvements.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
