This is highly responsible, skilled administrative and supervisory position specializing in planning, directing and coordinating the technical and operating services in support of a pharmaceutical devices manufacturer’s ongoing operations. Must be able to multitask, possess strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the confidence and motivation needed to be a team leader. Strong interpersonal skills are a must to be able to interface with all levels of customer. Previous experience in a laboratory or health care environment is required. Must be able to develop schedules, procedures and perform regular audits of the contracted services operations. Must be able to forecast and plan for materials and supplies and maintain/acquire standard and specialized equipment.

General Accountability

  • Manage and administrate daily, weekly and monthly services as per service agreements
  • Manage and react in a timely manner to any special/additional building services requirements as a result of management requests or building audits
  • Administer and re-define as required the external contractor services in order to support the building needs of a 24 Hour 7 day a week production environment
  • Establish the required training to meet established Standard Operating Procedures as well as Cleanroom requirements
  • Arrange and provide refresher training on a regular basis and complete Cleanroom maintenance protocols and behavior training as required
  • Provide and perform onsite training to all facility services staff ensuring that all personnel understand and sign off the required documentation
  • Establish inspection forms that provide a means of ensuring the work that is being done coincides with documentation and provides measurable data to track results as well as personnel performance
  • Schedule and perform daily and weekly inspections of affected areas to ensure the required standards are being maintained at all times
  • Manage laundry services and ensure that there is sufficient supply of Cleanroom garments at all times as well as managing a garment repair program to ensure costs a kept to a minimum
  • Become familiar with the site CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) in order to review incoming “Service Requests” on a daily basis and respond to all work order requests pertaining to facility services
  • Submit “Service Requests” identifying the location and problem of any facility deficiencies to the Facilities Team Leader.
  • Schedule and manage the contractor services (through established and approved contractors) including but not limited to:

o Cafeteria exhaust hood cleaning
o Preventive maintenance and repairs for Cleanroom laundry equipment ensuring optimum up-time is maintained
o Grease trap pumping
o Sanitary waste disposal/removal
o Water cooler maintenance and water filter changeWaste removal/Recycling safety issues, repairs requirements, procedure adherence, equipment operation, etc.
o Matting supply/changes and ensuring safe installation
o Pest control and any related pest issue calls/action requests
o Grounds keeping program
o Delivery and removal of the onsite “site metal” and garbage container to ensure availability at all times

Additional requirements:

Security clearance at a reliability level with PWGSC (minimum level accepted)

Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience
