Worked with great people but had no career advancement.
Graphic Designer (Former Employee), Montreal – March 28, 2013
I worked at the head office as a graphic designer and as my first designer job, it was a great experience. However, there is absolutely no career growth in this department. The salary is very low and the management within the office is unprofessional. This job would be worthy of my time if the bosses appreciated the designers more than they do and offer – more... us a salary we can actually live on.

If you're looking to get your foot in the door for some experience for a year, this is the place (most designers leave after a year or two and move on to something that is more challenging and pays better). This is not a long-term job but great for beginners. – less

Productive workplace, pleasent ambiance
Accounts Payable Representative (Current Employee), MontrĂ©al, QC – February 17, 2013
The position includes routine tasks such as: verifying accounts, entering invoices in SAP, verifying taxes and answering vendor's questions regarding payments.
I have learned new transactions in SAP.
The management and my co-workers are great.
I don't find the job hard to do at all and I usually enjoy most of my tasks.

Dollarama could be a great place to work with better working conditions
Store Manager (Former Employee), Kitchener, ON – June 20, 2012
very fast paced from start to end of shift
for the most part I had a good relationship with my co-workers of course you would get the odd one that didn't work out
management is very hard to please there was a lot of mixed signals
working in the public and the combination of administration work combined with working on the floor

Pros: good schedule
Cons: salary, no career growth, bad comunication problems, not the same rules for everyone, no benefits
I loved my job, learned alot of things also. It helped me get a little bit of experience. The management is the worst part, there is a big communication problem which makes the job harder. Not everyone hears the same thing or has the same rules. And the people who are higher has no idea how the team is functioning.
The co-workers are nice but its like – more... management eyes are closed for some co-workers. That was the hardest part of the job. The most enjoyable were some ppl that made work fun, and i loved my job. – less

District manager has his favourites.
District Manager Trainee (Former Employee), London, ON – March 10, 2012
Pros: great opportunity for empowerment
Cons: favouritism
Great concept, easy to manage however the DM plays favourites, which encourages store managers to do the same. A lot of good employee's are lost due to favouritism.
