Pros: some good people
Cons: poor senior leadership
Some Senior leadership are good, not a good company name to have on your resume, many of you looking for other senior leadership roles may wish to remove your employment at Dollar from your CV.
Do not work for this company, they do not care about people, do not fulfill their obligations, it is only a matter of time until these products will be legislated out of Canada, Alberta will be one of the first.
I did enjoy working with some of the people, the company does not compensate their managers well for the Alberta market. They managers have incredible and unrealistic expectations to hit targets that are not achievable. Bonuses are very, very, very rarely achieved even though the company makes incredible amounts of profit. (60 - 70% EBITDA is not uncommon)
Managers review process is executed very poorly. You have to fight to get managers pennies, the same managers who have worked extremely hard for little or no recognition.
