Pros: time with family
A typical day in the field consisted of alot of walking. I did alot of door to door sales. I would document streets, addresses, and customers names. I also documented the amount of deals I did per day. I made constant phone calls all day to get customers bills situated. I assisted customers in the area of wayne and washtenaw counties.

Direct Energy was a wonderful job to open my eyes entering the business world. I previously had my sights set in Pre-Med education until I received this job. Cons: to much emphized on employees and not enough on the customer
My work day would start with greetings from co-workers. My work day would consist of handling calls from existing customers and communicate with customers how to save energy on their utility bill. I learned how to work with customers with financial issues trying to keep their business by setting up payment plans. The hardest part of my job was advising – more... customers that have been disconnected from service due to non-payment that service could not be reconnected without paying in full balance due. This job was very interesting. Customers kept you on your toes and it's up to you how you respond to them. The hardest part of the job would be dealing with difficult customers and down time between calls. Otherwise the job was really good.
A typical day at work would be coming in at 7:30 to the call center to help customers with questions about their summaries. I learned how to work in a fast paced manner. The management was great. My co-workers were very helpful when needed. The hardest part of the job was to satisfy each customer on each call.
