Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) is seeking to hire an ICT Support Officer to manage DOT's information and communication systems, including all enhancements, technical assistance, and user training on DOT's global network. The ICT Support Officer will also assist with strategy and policy development related to DOT's ICT systems. While the ICT Support Officer will work with a team, she/he is expected to be the primary support person for the organization's technical infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will be a personable, customer-service oriented creative problem solver who is able to quickly adapt to new technologies and possesses a broad technical skillset. This is a full-time 12-month contract position based out of DOT's office in Ottawa.
Manage, support, and troubleshoot cloud-based services (intranet, content management systems, learning management systems, email)
Create interfaces and modules for user systems
Manage the integration of ICT into programs and projects
Manage software and hardware inventory
Manage relationships with service vendors
Assist with strategy and policy development related to ICT systems
Troubleshoot software and hardware issues
Maintain virtual support center for global organization
Qualifications // Essential:
College or University degree
Website development and content management experience required
Experience managing domains required
Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Customer service experience
Excellent ability to organize and prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
Understanding of database mapping and data modeling
Broad knowledge of current trends in ICT
Comfortable with both Apple and PC computers
Sensitive to and respectful of cultural differences
Qualifications // Desirable:
Familiarity with Intact Financial Software, SalesForce
Familiarity with online learning management systems
Familiarity with Google Apps
Experience troubleshooting BlackBerry devices
