Currently we are seeking an Documentation Clerk - Ocean Export (CONTRACT) to join the Export Team in our busy downtown Vancouver office. This is a Contract position for up to early 2014 to cover a Maternity Leave. The Documentation Clerk is responsible for preparation of accurate and timely export documentation, including billing and invoicing.


 Continuous improvements in documentation processes
 Utilization of available carrier web-based systems to improve service and/or lower costs
 Prepare documents required by Exporter and in accordance with Cdn/US export regulations
 Assist in identifying export compliance risks, apply risk assessment & preventive measures
 Track and trace shipments
 Ensure compliance by exporters with federal rules and standards for packaging and shipping as required
 Effectively interact with customers, suppliers and other external organizations as required

 Post secondary education or experience in finance/administration/global logistics
 Strong attention to detail
 Excellent communication skills
 Up to date knowledge or documentation requirements for transportation of goods nationally and internationally
 Prefer min 2 years experience in ocean export documentation (bulk or container)
 Proficiency in second language would be beneficial
 Strong computer skills
