About Davco Welding Ltd.
At Davco Welding Ltd. we specialize in oilfield construction and heavy lifting services. We operate throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. We are committed to quality workmanship and the safety of our employees, customers, property, and our community.

Our main base is located in Wainwright. This location consists of a number of facilities, including fabrication, mechanic and painting shops. We have a second office located in Lloydminster. This office acts as a central location for our field employees who work in the Lloydminster area. Between the 2 locations, Davco employs over 150 qualified staff.

We provide many services for the oilfield industry, as well as other services not directly related to the oilfield. The projects we work on are fabricated in our fabrication shop, sandblasted & painted in our painting booth, and installed on site with our pipefitting crews. Our crane division offers assistance to crews on-site and in the yard. We also employ heavy duty mechanics who ensure that our equipment is properly maintained. In summary, we are a ‘one stop shop’ for oilfield construction.

The Role
You will work closely with the HR Coordinator to develop, implement, and execute recruitment for our quickly expanding team. You will coordinate the recruiting efforts within the Wainwright and Lloydminster area, as well as expanding nationwide to fill trade specific positions.

The recruiter will have creative and strategic planning ideas to attract the best possible talent. Your role will also will be key in facilitating Davco’s growth through its people, while ensuring our strong family culture thrives.

 Screening multiple applicants, determine applicant qualifications to specific roles, and verifying reference checks
 Assist HR Coordinator in Davco housing program
 Understanding of Human Resources practices and legislation regulations
 Meet with Operations dispatch, HR Coordinator, and VP of operations to discuss manpower needs and timelines for strategic planning
 Completion of new hire paperwork, and communication with other departments
 Arrange for supervisors and other management to participate in interviews
 Assist in employee retention initiatives; employee Friday lunches, Davco sponsored events, Davco employee events

 Strong interpersonal communication skills
 Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Administration or other relevant educational background an asset
 Graphic design, marketing and event planning experience an asset
 Strong teamwork and organizational skills
 Driver’s license
