Role Profile:
The Occupational Therapist will report to the Site Director and provide assessment, direct treatment,
consultation and counselling services to the paediatric client population and their families in the delivery
of evidence-based therapies.

Plans, implements, evaluates and adapts Occupational Therapy services, goals and objectives
to meet the specific needs of assigned clients, using theory, principles, best practices and treatment techniques
Formal and/or informal assessment of clients’ fine and gross motor skills, self-help, sensory processing, self regulation, and play skills
Preparation of written reports or the initial assessment and/or treatment plan for each client serviced
Provision of individual and/or small group intervention to clients with social, motor and/or sensory processing difficulties, on site, in schools, and/or in client homes, as appropriate
Provision of in-home and/or in-school consultations to parents and/or teachers as appropriate
Maintenance of written records of the clients’ progress during intervention in the form of a daily progress note, completed after each client contact
· Assists in the clinical management and supervision of Occupational Therapy Assistants, new hires, and students completing placement
Required Skills/Experience:

Minimum 3 years experience in pediatrics within Sensory Integration
A definite asset with SIPT (Sensoring Integration Praxis Test) completion of all 4 modules
Experience with presentations, workshops, within communities
Handwriting with Tears
Must be available to work flexible schedule including and not limited to week days , early after school (3:30 pm-7:30 pm Monday to Friday) and Saturday/Sunday days
