Warehouse Worker (Current Employee) –  Delta, BCNovember 20, 2015
I met many people at Damco! I made some new friends and gained experience in a fast pace and hard working environment. I learned many things from Damco! I learned how to cube a container and how the major companies get their merchandise.
Pros
long walk to break room
Cons
sham

Unloader/Loader (Former Employee) –  New Westminster, BCAugust 21, 2015
Started off assisting one person loading 2 trucks of cargo/products and for the last few hours was shuffled around like a gym bag "helping" others do their job.
Pros
Free hot chocolate and water, reasonable breaks, and friendly environment
Cons
temps should not be doing 4 people's job, lack of training, no benefits, no transit after hours, hours are not flexible

Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) –  New Westminster, BCMarch 22, 2015
A typical day at work would be repeatedly unloading and loading trucks with your designated team. I learned how to work together with others and taking in their ideas. The hardest part of the job was lifting really heavy boxes that didn't have much grip to them. The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to work with friends.
Pros
free beverages.
Cons
long hours, set shifts

Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) –  Delta, BCJanuary 15, 2015
after working there for so long i got to the top top raise you could get and after a while it got bad and once i got all my certificates with the machines it meant more responsibility not to damage freight and the boss would be on you watching every little move you do and they dont even pay you more for driving the machines witch is what everyone wanted in the end it got depressing doing the same thing over and over again
Pros
union job benefits included
Cons
sometimes not worth the frustration
