its been great working for DHL I had been elected from senior staff and management to become a Safety Rep for 3 consecutive years . learned a lot . the benefits and pay was acceptional how fast your wage increases. unfortunately the contract ended with a third party company who chose to go overseas.

Probably the worst company I have ever worked for
Warehouse Worker (Current Employee) –  Vancouver, BC30 October 2016
DHL Canada is a complete mess- as the biggest logistics company in the world you sure could not tell by working for the Canadain operations.

Supervisors are horrible, and if a good one is hired they move on pretty quick.

Just don't even bother!

CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM LEAD (Current Employee) –  Brampton, ON22 October 2016
The management provide all staff the environment and incentive to learn and progress rapidly. Enjoyable and relax atmosphere. A big Mixture of cultures that give us many opportunities to learn and enjoy food and traditions of other countries, and co-workers. Most enjoyable part of the job is when you meet the customer satisfaction and he/she tells you how much he/she is happy about the service. Hardest part is when there is shortage of staff on a particular day and workload increase.
Pros
Employee Appreciation incentives
Cons
Back to back calls

Fast paced and Hard work.
Warehouse Worker (Current Employee) –  Mount Hope, ON26 September 2016
A great company to be with, although it's only Part-time; it is PERMANENT Part-time once you have a Position within the Warehouse itself. Guaranteed Weekly Hours, (Hours will never decrease, only increase if you take Extra work) and great Benefits after 3 Months of Probation.

A fast paced work environment from offloading to sorting the Lines within the warehouse with various cargo brought in from the Planes. This is a hard working environment as well, but time goes by fast, as you're constantly doing something. There's no waiting around.

Overall great environment to be around, great Co-workers, great Management (Who are also very understanding and kind!), and the Job Security is great due to the fact that you're unionized.
Pros
The Pay, the People, the Management, Short Shifts that you can work around During your Day
Cons
Short Shifts, Part-time Positions

The job was decent
Export Processor (Current Employee) –  Lachine, QC11 September 2016
The work wasnt difficult and the pay and benifits were great, however they lacked flexibility and screwed over their workers even after years of loyal service. they were inflexible with meeting the needs of employees and alter scedules without caring weather or not it works for the worker.
Pros
Good benifits
Cons
Uncaring Upper management, Bad basic training needed for day to day work (you need to learn it off other workers)

Account Manager Outside Sales (Former Employee) –  Burnaby, BC15 June 2016
a lot has changed in the last few years, but it was a typical 7 day work week, with clients calling you on weekends, and all hours of the night. Very stressful position when you manage major accounts spending millions of dollars.

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Brampton, ON1 June 2016
DHL express in Brampton presents the impression to their employees that they are professional and care but don't be fooled. The issue begins with their inconsistent and incompetent trainer and management who instead of providing proper answer leave you if you are having an issue with a customer to sink or swim. The sad things they know they have inconsitent training but do nothing to fix it. When you are there you are just a number. Dont be fooledby how much money they have generated you wouldnt believe the unprofessional and gross short cuts the take that hurts the employee and customerTheir management is so unprofessional alot of micromanagement and they are, management, really good liars convincing you that you ve done a great job but turn around and blame you for things out of your control. If you're considering to apply for this run for the hills . Note there was a last review on this site that said the same thing but since I have worked here everything about them being unprofessional is true

Sales - International Lead Generation Specialist (Current Employee) –  Mississauga, ON19 April 2016
A typical day at work involves: Making cold calls to businesses, calling warm leads. Following up with leads, emails and voicemail. We have daily targets to reach 90 calls and 10 Leads that are qualified.

At my time working at DHL Express, I have gained some great transferable sales skills. Have become very competitive with reaching sales goals. I have gained cold calling skills, great communication skills, and customer service skills.

The environment is great: Work hard, play hard. We get rewarded for reaching our sales targets.

Company has a great "First time buyers campaign" . Sales incentive make a great way to reach targets,
Pros
Commission, Great team.
