PRODUCTION ENGINEER - PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Key Responsibilities will be to assist Production Engineering in planning, procuring equipment and tooling for installation applicable to all manufacturing processes: Assembly and Injection Moulding. To support the activities of new production development and introduction in the Engineering Department. To ensure the production of quality products that meets or exceeds customer needs/expectations, while achieving maximum manufacturing efficiencies. Monitor assigned projects ensuring action plans, timelines, and requirements are met and/or exceeded.

Requirements: Experience in Production Engineering or Production Engineer role (preferably tier 1 automotive); College Diploma or University Degree; Full working knowledge (ability to create and maintain) APQP documentation (Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, etc.); Previous experience in new product launch, following APQP through to mass production; Understanding of typical assembly process: Layout, torque drivers, semi-automated and fully-automated assembly; Generate and justify program/project capital expenditure and budgets for executive approval; Knowledge of machine guarding standards, PSR, and OHSA for Industrial establishments; Fluent in MS Office.

Preferences: CET or P.Eng designation; Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; Knowledge of the injection moulding process; Previous experience in working with Product Design Engineering for new product launch; Proficient in AutoCAD and ability to create drawings.
