DAVIDsTEA is looking for an IT Support Technician

Position summary:

The IT Support Technician will be responsible for managing all level 1 support requests throughout our retail division and Montreal head office. The Technician will be located at our office in Montreal and will become the first line support for all field calls and escalate troubleshooting as needed based on a pre-established service protocol.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot software, hardware and basic network issues over the phone (level 1)
  • Log all calls received and prioritize issues based on severity
  • Install, Configure and support layered applications such as MS Office suite, email clients, anti-virus, etc.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair PCs
  • Microsoft Suite software and retail application administration
  • Provide outstanding internal user support
  • Prepare reports from helpdesk ticketing system
  • Assist with IT related projects

  • Post secondary technical diploma
  • Other professional certification is an asset
  • 0-2 years of related experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and prioritization skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Operating systems and standard application software
  • Available for off-hours support rotation


  • Knowledge of Macintosh computers
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Mobile device support experience
  • Point of Sale experience an asset
  • Retail Experience an asset
