A happy work place
Collector/Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Center Valley, PA – May 23, 2013
Pros: team building exercises and quarterly bonus.
Cons: i was in a temp position.
A typical day at work was making cold collection calls to major companies that D&B provided. I also handled some in bound calls to customer service. I also collected payments on a daily basis as well as handled some disputes. I learned how to manage a high dollar portfolio and keep my managers happy with my progress. My co workers were helpful when – more... needed. They also were easy to get along with and made light of any situation, even if there was an irate customer, we never took it personal. The hardest part of the job was making sure the customer understood how important it was for them to pay on time. I did enjoy going to work every day due to my work environment. Everyone i worked with was enjoyable. – less

Excellent Company to work for Job Recognition, and Salary
Senior Collections Specialist (Former Employee), Bethlehem, PA – April 12, 2013
Pros: flexible work weeks, work from home.
Client base of over 1000, Phone calls to clients to collect past due accounts, push our sales profits and school clients on on products. Learned a great deal there under great management. Management was ready to do what they expected of others and were trianed to do our same jobs. Co-workers worked independently pursuing their own goals. The hardest – more... part was the collections end of it, but we were trained to be both the creditor and the collector. The best part of the job was that you were recognized for your work and not made to compete for your own job everytime the job description changed. As with other companies put you in direct competition for positions that introduced hard feelings and job turnover due to not rewarding those with the time that has been served – less

Great people and wonderful opportunity to work with numerous types of customers.
Sales Performance Consultant (Former Employee), Roswell, GA – March 25, 2013
Pros: exposure
Cons: the ever constant need to meet numbers projected to wall street
My experience at D&B was one of always learning, changing and improving. Being able to gain experience with all segments of a business (i.e. risk management, sales & marketing, supply chain, IT) provided me the opportunity to improve my skill-set while also being a better consultant to my customers (internal/external).

A day in Office
Executive PMO (Current Employee), Chennai – February 7, 2013
Pros: opportunities to learn
Cons: job security
I work here as Executive PMO and as my role demands, I have to be on my toes to complete everything related to billing within 10th of every month. I had to co ordinate with multi level associates right from Trainee till Vice President which is an interesting task to do. All the senior level managers were very much approachable and always there to help – more... me. Co-workers make me feel important whenever they have an issue related to their efforts logging. Additionally I also support for VPN connections, which makes sure that I am constantly in touch with my co-workers. Hardest job will be to deliver all the billing files on time even though first 10 days are loaded with lot of work and also requires long days & nights in office. Most enjoyable part of my job is meeting up Software Engineers, QA Testers, Project Managers, Data Architects, Delivery Managers which gives us enough opportunities to learn with the exposure. – less

Sales Consultant (Former Employee), Tucson, AZ – February 6, 2013
Good pay for performance, hard work and long hours. As the economy became more critical pay was reduced and goals were very difficult to achieve. Most of the top performers left.

Toxic Environment, poor management
Consultant (Former Employee), Short Hills, NJ – January 23, 2013
Pros: work teams are tight and work together. with few exceptions they don't over work you.
Cons: no way to get anything done that involves more than 3 months or is deemed too expensive, no real cost benefit analysis is ever done.
Difficult enviroment to succeed. Little planning or forethought is applied to projects. The company is very behind in updating systems to any kind of industry standards. You'll succeed here if you love Excel and Powerpoint.

A great place to work
Team Leader (Current Employee), Center Valley, PA – December 17, 2012
One of the best things about working at D&B is the work/life balance. Management for the most part does not micromanage and are very easy to communicate with. I have gained valuable experience working at D&B as I have worked my way up, however, I am looking to broaden my skill base even further.

Challenging and Rewarding
Relationship Manager (Former Employee), Austin, TX – October 22, 2012
Great company. Enjoyed working as a team, very ethical and compassionate management culture. If they had not closed the Austin branch, I would likely still be with the company. Just was not in a position to relocate at that time.

Hardest part of the job was maintaining the patience required to successfully work with the small percentage of clients – more... that would wait until the 11th hour to begin negotiations.

Most enjoyable parts of the job were:

Getting to know my clients; if they did not believe I understood their problem(s), they were not likely to buy my solution(s).

Understanding both the micro and macro factors impacting their respective industries and being able to offer industry specific solutions based on proven best practices and benchmarks.

Recognizing that my success was dependent on their success.

Successfully helping clients grow their businesses utilizing D&B's industry specific expertise / solutions. – less
