Did not work there long till they moved to Dallas and laid me off
Receptionist (Former Employee), Tyler, TX – December 23, 2012
Pros: the hours were 8am to 5pm, scheduled lunches and breaks with no interuptions, they celebrated holidays together and family was welcome.
Cons: they shut down
I was there receptionist and loved it. I transferred calls, filed paperwork and enter data, etc.
My co-workers were very pleasant and hard working as well.
The hardest part of this job was not being able to stay. I wanted to get more education and grow with the company.

Team Leader (Current Employee), Cardiff – September 11, 2012
Pros: flexible
Cons: long hours needed at times
A good place to work
Start by allocating workloads and liaising with managers.
At times the nature of the work is difficult and due to previous management there is a large backlog of work.

Management was absent and ineffective - no direction given
Loss Adjustor/auditor/building consultant (Former Employee), Christchurch – August 28, 2012
Pros: the money was good - meeting and working with good work collegues
Cons: long working hours and living away from home
Management was reactive rather than pro active. The project manager was based in the North Island and only visited on odd occassions and then had little contact. We were left mainly to our own devises. Llittle concern was given to staff welfare and health & safety.
My job was to sample a range of properties identified as a random sample - either desk – more... audit or site audit the property and compare this to the assessors report, looking for irregularities or incorrect damage reports and repair costs and spread sheet these findings looking for any trends. At various times I co ordinated the other staff members as required.
The most important thing management need to consider is their staff. Happy staff working in a good environment produces a higher work output than an environment where management fails to lead by example and leaving staff with no direction or reward.
The most enjoyable part of the job was doing the assessing correctly and finding suitable repair methods and costs that related better to the insurance policy. – less

Extremely productive place to work
Incident Manager (Current Employee), Cardiff – August 1, 2012
Pros: free car parking
Cons: ignorance as to when i will be made redundant - not sure if if will be within a month or a year
I have been with this company for nearly four years and have worked night shifts for the last two years. This was a cost effective scheme that gave the client a more productivity for a small renumeration of a wage increase.
I am responsible for processing payments, ensuring attention to detail is paramount. I have to liaise by email to colleagues and – more... other organisations due to the hours that I work.
The hardest part of my job is being woken up during the day when I have another 12 hour shift to do that night.
I enjoy the team that I work with as we all seem to get on really well, assisting each other as and when necessary. – less

Biggest learning experience of my life
Contracted Insurance Adjuster (Former Employee), Tampa, FL – July 29, 2012
Pros: great in the trenches learning experience
Cons: company sold
First employee of Qwest and became a road warrior to locate and negotiating 160 property leases and purchases in 12 states from the Mexican border to New York City. These 160 properties required me to work with farmers, rural/suburb land owners, major city building owners, file building permits, work out zoning issues, work with numerous lawyers and – more... manage the construction of the sites, buildings, and tower structures. After the system was built, I became Vice President and General Manager whose direct reports included the Chief Financial Officer, Director of Operations, Director of Engineering, Manager of Sales and Marketing. This arrangement allowed the company to continue to be profitable as the product prices dropped 91%. During this price reduction, the Company had to layoff less than 10% of its employees.. – less

Infrstructure Architect at Cunningham Lindsey
Infrastructure Architect (Former Employee), Lewisville, TX – July 16, 2012
Pros: complex network and technology
Cons: corporate environment and management
The network here is very complex. I have had the chance to design and mold it from a Windows NT 3.51/Novell 3.12 hybrid all the way to the cutting edge in 2012. I was also given the opportunity to design migration strategies for the acquisition of some very large companies. The staff is good to work with and everyone has been very dedicated. There isn't – more... a clear sense of what is going on recently and the company is in flux. The corporate culture has changed drastically. It is difficult to design a global network like this without a business perspective. I have worked for this company for 10 years and it has been a very informative and amicable experience. – less

Busy place to work with lots of different products being dealt with andoppurtunity to work and develope
Claims Technician (Current Employee), Glasgow – May 26, 2012
Cons: sometimes long hours when there is a surge
At typical day within my role is to review incoming emails and respond accordingly, action correspondence received from insurers, insured or tp within the agreed service level,
I have learned that when you deliver a great service individuals will always remember, ability to be organised and prioritize work loads, listen to customers needs and provide – more... a service which will deliver results with in an agreed timescales.
My co-works are great , listen to their needs provide assistance where others are struggling
Sometime the hardest part is when you have to deliver bad news
The bit I most enjoyed at work is when I have worked within the customer service team and was able to turn someones disappointment around and resolve there issues and look at the bigger picture . Restore the individuals faith – less
